DeWitt is a city located in Clinton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,702. The city is located within DeWitt Township, though it is politically independent. It is just north of Interstate 69 and just west of U.S. Highway 127, about 10 miles north of downtown Lansing. DeWitt contains some small businesses and stores.

A major point of interest here is the Looking Glass River, which lazily flows through the park on the south side of town, the mirror-like effect of which is easily seen.
